So they stay in the relationship thinking that they are safe and that everything will be alright. Dana and and all the other slaves were used to the whips because it was a routine. there was so much fear in their life that they could not escape in fear of the punishments that they will face. once you are in love with the abuser it is hard to get out of the relationship. domestic violence still continues on in relationships and most women cannot seem to get out of them because they are scared of what is going to happen to them.
